Future Grade delivered a cutting-edge monitoring solution to MSG Sphere Studios for detecting issues on the outer surface of the studio. Our skilled technical engineers installed and integrated 4K IP-controlled outdoor pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras to monitor the Sphere’s exterior and established a dedicated network infrastructure for controlling, viewing, and recording camera feeds in real-time. This advanced monitoring system ensures timely detection of any surface anomalies, enabling prompt corrective action to be taken.

MSG Sphere Studios in Burbank, CA is a state-of-the-art production and post-production facility designed to support the creation of content for the Las Vegas Sphere and future Sphere projects. The studios feature advanced technology and are designed to allow for seamless collaboration between artists, musicians, and filmmakers.

One significant challenge MSG facing was the constant wear and tear of the exterior structure, which impacting the LED screens inside the sphere, and this issue became more severe due to the recent bad weather in California. Given the enormity of the dome, it was a tough task to access the damage, which led MSG to seek the expertise of L.A. Drones and Future Grade to help them address this problem.

To ensure comprehensive coverage, our team of of technical engineers installed and integrated 4k IP controlled outdoor PTZ cameras to monitor the Sphere surface and set up a dedicated network infrastructure to control, view, and record the camera feed in real-time. The cameras were strategically installed at the neighboring building at a high altitude, providing complete coverage of the Sphere surface.

Future Grade’s service also includes 24/7 remote and on-site support to maintain the camera and network infrastructure. Our team of experts is always available to troubleshoot and fix any issues that may arise, ensuring that the Sphere remains in pristine condition.
